Shopping, shopping, shopping!

I am in Victoria right now with hubby. He is on a 2 day coaching clinic and asked if I wanted to come. The kids are at their grandma's and I am on my own to do some shopping! Jason was surprised when he found out kids weren't coming, "you really are going to have fun" was his response. Of course I am! Truth be told though, I really am not a shopper, I'll be 'done' by noon and will still have a day and a half to go! Don't get me wrong, if I was in a scrapbooking/stamping/papercrafting area, I could go for days, just not a girlie girl that loves shopping for clothes and stuff. Although my first stop will be Lululemon, I do love their hoodies!

So no posting this weekend, hopefully early next week I will be in the scraproom. I haven't really had time. I am soooo.... overwhelmed at work. I am now doing a K/1 rather than a grade one class - those kindies are so little! I have never taught Kindergarten before, and that tied with the 7 kids that are very needy really tuckers me out! Hopefully things will smooth out a bit and I can do more scrapping but until then, I will post when I can!

Have a good weekend everyone,

Blog Candy

Cammie has an awesome blog candy giveaway. She is asking for you to make cards for the nurses and such that help people with Alzheimer's. I am going to give these to our Old Age Home here in town, what a great idea Cammie!

Merry and Bright Santa

This is CPS sketch this week: I didn't have much time to play but I snuck in a few minutes before delving back into my teaching stuff - ugh so much to do so little time! This is the card I came up with. A simple card (no sewing!) and quick, gotta like that sometimes!

I've been tagged

I have been tagged by Eulanda, Lynn, and Jennifer. I better get tagging before I have no one to tag! Here are the rules:

1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here goes, 7 facts about me:

1. I get really irritated when I can't get into my scraproom to play. You can imagine how happy I am now when I really did not get in there all last week, and only a couple of times this weekend!!!
2. I sleep completely covered in the blankets, with only a little hole for my mouth!
3. I'm with Lynn on the cooking and that question "What's for dinner?", I hate cooking and one day I will answer: "Whatever you are cooking!" Actually my kids know they fend for themselves on Friday and most often Saturday nights so their question then becomes: "Mom, are you cooking supper tonight?" !
4. I would love to be published in a Card making magazine
5. I love pink, always have, always will
6. Not a fan of coffee, I'm a tea drinker
7. I've got my Christmas shopping pretty much done! Only have hubby's and my kids gifts to get! What am I going to do with all my extra cash in the next few months!?

Now to tag:

Take a nap

Page Plans is another blog with sketches, both for cards and scrapbooking. Here is the card layout this week. Here is my card. I love these 'kid quote' stamps from Inkadinkadoo, they are just so darned cute. Michael's had their stamps on 40% off so I picked up a few of these sentiment stamps. I thought this one worked perfectly with Grumpabella! Here robe is fun flocked.

What do I do with all my cards?

Eulanda wondered what I do with all the cards I make. Honestly, I stockpile most of them! LOL! I just so enjoy the process of creating the cards that most of the time I am not thinking about where they are going; once in a while they have an intended recipient but not usually. I have a great sister in law that loves my cards so she often gets them for gifts (hopefully she doesn't read this post!). I also send them to my good friend who lives out of town either as gifts or as a 'just because'. Now I pose the question to all of you, what do you do with all of your cards???

Tiddly Cupcake

I struggled with Taylor's sketch this week (I guess that is why it is called a challenge!). I love this little Tiddly Ink stamp from Stamping Bella, however I never am totally happy with the cards I make with it. I tried to make this one very girly - sparkles and gems.

Be Happy

Here is Beate's sketch for this week. This is my card. So out of my box! I am not sure why I ever ordered this paper from CTMH, I am not into bright colors, and don't really like purple! I guess the flowers got me! I tried to make it look like this little mouse was hopping around in a daisy patch.

Verve Challenge

Over on the Verve section of SCS there is a challenge that goes on until noon tomorrow. I just found it this morning before work so I was determined to try it. Tonight I got into my scraproom around 7:30 and worked until 10:00. The challenge is to use a 6 X 6 piece of double sided DP (or 2 different ones) cut to certain dimensions and used in 4 sketches to make cards. I chose to do Christmas cards. I didn't have a lot of time so I kept them simple. Now wouldn't it be great to be the winner of the challenge and win all of the new releases?!! I have my fingers crossed!
