Order Pizza....

Wow, yesterday was a great day as far as emails go.... I am so excited to be one of the designers chosen for the Pattern Happy Design team!!!  I can't wait to start.  I also have more happy, crafty news but that has to wait ;)

Today I am sharing another card using the Emoji Love collection by Simple Stories.

The card is simple, sort of an 'encouragement' card ;)  I paired it up with a sentiment from the Sassy Hangry set by Technique Tuesday.

Lucky Me... Going Green

Hi everyone... I'm creating a green... think spring card... even though we just got another (well second) snowfall.  Don't get me wrong, I do love the snow.... I'm just ready to move on!

Today I am playing with the Open Book collection by Crate Paper along with the Jane Girl stamp by Unity.

I just layered some pattern paper and ephemera... love the shiny gold heart.  The image has been paper pieced and mounted on foam squares.  I die cut the sentiment using a PTI die.

2 Simple cards using the Chasing Dreams collection

I'm working with scraps here.   I just love the flowers in the Chasing Dreams collection by Crate Paper, making use of every little scrap today.

First up, I created this card for the Freshly Made Sketches... although I did alter it a little ;)  Just added some ephemera from the collection then overlapped that with a MFT chicken wire die.

I then adhered some scraps and a chipboard rose.  The smile sentiment is from Stamplorations.

Next up, still using the same collection and even more clean and simple.  I cut an inner panel from cardstock, with white on white for some interest.

I still used the Chicken Wire Die, but this time the sentiment die is from Papertrey Ink.

You know...  I still have a good amount of ephemera and some chipboard elements left... I just may have to order another paper pad :)

Scrappy Sunday.... Life is a Story

I took this photo of my daughter's mug.  I found it in her closet when I got back from dropping her off for her trip to Vietnam and Australia.  She had a work Visa for Australia and planned on being there for a year.  She had an opportunity and went with it.  Graduated in June 2016 and was in Vietnam in August... then September she went to Australia.  She was definitely working on her story.... which even at this moment,  is continuing.

I used papers from CTMH and SU!. So many things I love about this layout.  It is just an everyday photo, I used some old supplies, the brown actually upcycyled packaging - I love to upcycle...I love everyday photos.

The stamps are from Unity...the You Can Do Anything and the Epic Moments.

I also added some die cut mugs.... Danica has quite the collection of white mugs with sayings so it fit with the theme.  The dies are from MFT and Honeybee.  I then continued with the theme using some SRM Stickers.  As a final touch, I stamped a fitting sentiment the Sassy Coffee stamp set from Technique Tuesday.  I mounted that mug on foam squares.

I am playing along with Scraplift Sunday at Paper Issues and here is the layout to lift this week:

Time to Be Happy Layout on Unity Blog

Happy Friday and yes I am up on the Unity Blog with another Friday Favorites post.  Today I have a layout using the Gather collection by Crate Paper and of course many Unity stamps.

Lots of fun Unity stamps have been used on this layout and I do go into more detail on the Unity blog

One thing to note is that I turned 50 so I wanted to document 'where I am' right now.  I cut a strip of the pattern paper that had numbers on it and adhered it down the side.  They worked well for the lead up to the die cut 50.

See the numbered paper down the side, then my die cut 50?

Yes, it is definitely time to be happy again.

See... I told you I combined several Unity stamps :)

Adventure Awaits

The new Inspired By Challenge is up... and believe me... my own challenge and I was stumped :)  However, I decided to go with the sketch of the inspiration picture and then created a layout.  The first layout of hubby and my Mediterranean Cruise last summer for our 25th wedding anniversay.  I highly recommend it!

I used the Explore collection by Authentique Paper.  It was perfect for the theme of course. I cut the title with my Silhouette.

We went on a Celebrity Cruise and LOVED it!   I tucked bits of ephemera in the 'globe' along with a little photo of the ship and us enjoying one of the delicious meals.

In keeping with the sketch I added a little circle element in the top corner as well.  This mimics the area of the map of the tour.  Yep, we went around the boot.

It was an amazing vacation.  We spent 3 days in Barcelona before we left and then 3 days in Venice at the end.  The cruise was 9 nights.  We made the most of every stop.  It was HOT, hubby likes the heat, me not so much but being a teacher.... summer travel is what we do.

I printed out the map of the itinerary and punched it out as a circle in keeping with the theme and sketch.

Here is the inspiration photo.... Can you see how I was inspired?  How does it inspire you?  I would love to see, so be sure to hop on over and play along.
